The Watch

A Twin Cities community effort

About The Watch

Built in the Twin Cities around a simple belief: no one should have to face danger alone.

Thomas E. Berry Jr.

Founder and CEO, The Watch App

Thomas has lived and worked in the Twin Cities for more than 30 years. He is Vice President of the Minneapolis NAACP and founder of Philando's Pantry, which served more than 400 homes with over 100 tons of food last year. He built The Watch so no one has to face danger alone. One tap or spoken phrase, and your people and help are on the way.

Set up emergency contacts in advance. Contact setup, recipient consent, and connectivity are required for alerts. The Watch does not dispatch emergency services.

What Members Say

The WATCH App empowers citizens to engage with life and authority on a more equal footing. Whether dealing with authority figures or others whose intentions may not be in your best interest, the app helps provide clarity, accountability, and peace of mind when it matters most. With the WATCH, you always have a witness. You can always capture the other side of the story, for both you and your family.

Where Your Support Goes

The Watch has committed 6% of its proceeds to the community:

The Watch Foundation and Philando's Pantry

Last year the pantry served more than 400 homes with over 100 tons of food.

The NAACP

Contributions will help support families.

Sliding scale therapy

Part of the 6% will lower the cost of therapy sessions in the app for families affected by violence.

This describes a commitment, not a report of completed or paid donations.
