Panic Emergency SMS Opt-In
The Watch App LLC — The Watch, Your Safety Circle
Prepare Panic SMS consent before an emergency. No account, app installation, or sign-in is needed for this guest flow. Read the disclosures and choose whether to grant or revoke consent for your own North American mobile number. Verification is required before the choice is saved.
Set up or revoke Panic SMS consent
Requesting a verification code does not activate alerts. The one-time code SMS is only to verify this request, not an emergency alert. We will not send anything until you deliberately submit this form.
Verify your number
Stay on this page to request your verification code and enter it here. No Watch account, app installation, sign-in, or profile changes are needed. Requesting a code does not activate alerts. Revoke here after verifying your number, or reply STOP to the sending number.
What you agree to receive
Automated Panic emergency SMS alerts when a member you support activates Panic. Alerts may include the sender's name, incident type, location, permitted medical information, and map or live-view links when available. No marketing messages are sent under this program.
Message frequency varies with Panic events. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase or account creation.
How recipients give consent
- Enter your own North American mobile number and choose grant or revoke. No account or app installation is needed.
- For a grant, read the complete disclosure and select its initially unchecked agreement checkbox. For either action, separately select the initially unchecked permission for a one-time verification SMS.
- Deliberately request the code, then enter the six-digit code and submit to verify and save the choice. Requesting a code does not activate alerts.
The recipient gives consent. Another member adding you as an emergency contact does not subscribe you. SMS is optional and is not a condition of purchase or account creation. Provider STOP remains controlling and cannot be overridden by a saved grant.
For review without signing in, see full, uncropped screenshots of the real member consent form. They demonstrate the member flow only, not this guest flow or carrier approval.
The consent choice shown in the form
The guest grant checkbox starts unchecked and is labeled: “I agree to receive Panic emergency SMS alerts at my own number.” It is shown with this disclosure:
By checking this box, I confirm this is my own mobile number and agree to receive automated Panic emergency SMS alerts from The Watch – Your Safety Circle (The Watch App LLC). Alerts may include the sender's name, incident type, location, medical information, and map or live-view links when available. Message frequency varies with Panic events. Message and data rates may apply. No marketing messages. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase or account creation. Reply STOP to cancel, or revoke consent on this page. Reply HELP for messaging help, or email Watchful_citizen1@thewatchapp.org. We do not sell or share mobile opt-in data for marketing.
The form links to our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms & Conditions. A separate initially unchecked permission is required before requesting the one-time verification SMS for either grant or revoke. Consent is saved only after successful code verification.
Example Panic alert
This is an illustrative message, not a message sent by this page. Bracketed fields vary; location and viewing links are included only when available and permitted.
EMERGENCY ALERT from The Watch – Your Safety Circle [Name] just triggered a panic alert. Type: [Incident type] Location: [Location] Map: [Map link, if available] Live view: [Viewing link, if available] This is an automated alert. If you cannot reach them, call 911. Reply STOP to cancel. HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.
Stop messages or get help
Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You can also verify your number and revoke using this guest form, or select “Revoke SMS consent” on the member consent form. Saving website consent does not override a messaging-provider STOP block. A message already in transit may still arrive. Revoking SMS consent does not disable calls, push notifications, or email alerts.

SMS delivery is not guaranteed and is not a replacement for emergency services. Call 911 in an emergency.
This page sends no SMS merely by being visited. A code is sent only after you deliberately submit the one-time verification permission and request. SMS delivery depends on carrier availability and messaging-service activation.
